Shippers, freight forwarders, and airline employees, including handlers, all play an important role in the live animal transport process. Using an inappropriate container or misunderstanding carrier or government regulations can lead to harmful results. Whatever the type of live animal you ship, the Live Animal Regulations assist the industry in the safe and humane transport of live animals.

This course provides practical application of the IATA Live Animals Regulation, to accept/handle and safely transport live animals. It also helps to understand the specific legal responsibilities, in terms of animal health and welfare, of airlines transporting domestic, wild, exotic, and endangered species.
