This course provides a workable knowledge of the UAE Civil Aviation Regulations, its procedures, safety policies, means of compliances with respects to the Regulation, its associated GMs and AMCs. It focuses on topics laid out in CAR 66, CAR 147, CAR 145, CAR 21, CAR M and other documentations relevant for participants seeking to hold an AMEL license in the UAE or participants holding foreign AMEL seeking conversion of their licenses to the UAE Civil Aviation Regulation
This course is aimed at engineers holding foreign AMEL wish to convert to UAE GCAA CAR 66 License and need to appear for Module 10 Technicians appearing for Module 10 examination and Training Managers and other stakeholders and persons wishing to understand the UAE GCAA Civil Aviation Regulations limited to Module 10 syllabus.
1. Appreciate regulatory framework, role of ICAO, role and functions of GCAA
2. Appreciate the relationship between CAR 66 to CAR 147, CAR 145, CAR M and relationship with other aviation authorities.
3. Understand in depth CAR 66, CAR 145 and CAR M topics
4. Appreciate CAR-OPS, CAR 21 topics relevant to maintenance certifying staff
Appreciate all other topics as required in Module 10 including maintenance checks, inspections, maintenance and dispatch requirements, information and mandatory documents such as AD and SB, maintenance manuals, SRM, IPC, continuing airworthiness, ETOPS, all weather operations, CAT 2/3 operations and minimum equipment requirement documentation such as MMEL, MEL and CDL
6. Demonstrate knowledge of the Air Legislation Module 10 when required
